Tracey & Rudi Middleton - Utility Warehouse Converts & Now Distributors
The Utility Warehouse blurb promised a 'Triple Value Guarantee' on their Gas and Electric, Free Phone calls to UK landlines and the top 10 global destinations 24/7, and the chance to eliminate the BT line rental charge AND receive a FREE Laptop with their 'Broadcall Laptop' service.
Without exception they delivered on all those promises ...and then they delivered our exclusive 'Utility Warehouse Discount Club CashBack Card'. To date this card, used wisely has cut our family's total utility costs by an average £41 / month (that's a staggering £492 per year back in OUR pockets.)
My name is Rudi Middleton and I live with my wife Tracey and girls Francesca and Amy in Diss. Usually not bothered about where we bought our services, content to just continue with the status quo, the credit crunch made us look at where we could make savings.
We found The Utility Warehouse Discount Club offering award winning services, regularly a top performer in 'Which' magazine the services on their own prove a powerful enough reason to ditch your current supplier and switch.
But for us the ability to shop and earn cashback off our Utility bill is proving very lucrative.
So How does it work?
The card is backed by MasterCard, is usable anywhere, protected by Chip and Pin and is NOT a credit card.
When you want to use it you simply transfer money from your Debit Card onto your cashback card using an automated phone service.
If there's no money on your card, you can't use it. You're in control and you can never overspend.
Now the Cashback card can be used anywhere but certain stores have partnered with Utility warehouse in an attempt to gain extra customers and will pay those customers 5% cashback on all money spent at their tills. the cashback is collected by utility warehouse and
taken off your Utility Warehouse bill for all the services you have with Utility warehouse.
It was a small change for us to swap our shopping habits from Tesco (no cashback) to Sainsbury's (5% Cashback). My wife questioned all the Tesco points we'd miss out on but when we worked out the cash values, the 5% Cashback saving proved hugely more beneficial.
We headed to Thetford, did a weekly shop, topped up a mobile in store, filled the car with petrol and received 5% cashback on all the money we spent. That first expedition knocked £6.65 off our Electric or the Gas, or the Broadband.
We started thinking about what we needed for Christmas and who was partnered with the cashback scheme where we could make further savings.
Targeted purchases for Christmas from Sainbury's, Boots, Debenhams, River Island and Argos helped us to wipe £51 from our bill in December.
All in all to date (from 14th Nov 08 to 1st Feb 09) we've cut £103.90 from our bill. That's money back in our pocket that ordinarily we would have missed out on.
We're currently planning to move house and will be switching all our services to the new property. We're also keen to utilise our cashback card at HOMEBASE for even more savings.
On the back of all this we were so impressed with Utility warehouse we decided to help others discover the benefits of ditching and switching that we became Independent distributors.
We've collated a FREE PACK for anyone seriously interested in cutting their Utility bills with Utility warehouse and this can be requested at www.SavvySavings.co.uk
Hope this helps the 1000's who could save £500+ every year.
