Good idea but siomply not viable for the poorest by: Chrissie
Solar panels are expensive. For those on benefits and/or on a low wage or without regular decent income comming in are sadly not a viable option or affordable- however beneficial long term.

John, this is something I would like to hear comment on.
As well as the cost of the outlay and the years before this is covered, one has to bear in mind whether you will be staying in the property for the number of years to cover this investment and also your own age.
Also I would think that the cost of the panels will eventually drop more because these are now being manufactured in China.
