A Bartering System to Save Money

A bartering system seems to be an excellent way to save money.
This is the new way of trading - although in fact it is ages old, starting when there was no currency system.
Do you have a surplus of apples or
strawberry runners?
Or are you in need of loads of apples to store for the winter? This is a bartering situation. Can you sew? There are many people around who would like the odd sewing job done which could provide a niche for you.
First of all start in a small way - take a look around your local area and see what is on offer. Do any of your neighbours have surplus produce from their garden that you need? What can you offer in return? How about some
baking?
This is how you could set up a bartering system with them.
Do you have a skill such as dressmaking, sewing or decorating, plumbing or gardening? Do any of your neighbours require transport on the odd occasion where you could help out with your car?
Can you look after a neighbour's
dog
or children on a short time basis? Have a look around and assess your particular situation. This can make for a good bartering system. The exchange of skills and goods is making a comeback because of the credit squeeze - in fact it seems to make a bartering system inevitable. You can now take out a Bartercard at www.uk.bartercard.com/You can also telephone this company at 0845 219 7000 There are some web sites to cater for this bartering system, and to make life easier for you, we offer a selection. www.u-exchange.com/home This site is vast, but finding your way around is easy because all the swaps are divided by county as you search for your exchange house.
